April and Joe were a referral from Joe’s brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Elizabeth (you may remember their intimate winter wedding which you can read all about HERE). We have to tell you how this referral came to be, because it still makes us smile! After we went to the rehearsal for Elizabeth and Andy, April, Joe, and Joe’s mother (Mardie) all independently came up to Dana on the day of the wedding and said, “we are going to need you in May for April and Joe’s wedding”. Dana was definitely feeling the love that day!
April and Joe, like many other couples, were faced with postponing their wedding due to COVID. So when the day finally arrived, everyone was looking forward to celebrating at the beautiful Mill City Museum at last!
The couple decided to keep things simple, so it was a clear choice to use Keyed Up Events decor. This is a great service for our couples and their families because we bring the decor when we arrive, set it up, take it down, and haul it away when we leave at the end of the night. No worrying about assigning someone the duty of packing up decor, everyone gets to enjoy the day to its fullest! Plus, we had the perfect decor to go with their classic wedding vibe.
The couple also decided to work with Studio B Floral to create elegant arrangements for the space (and they truly exceeded everyone’s expectations). These floral pieces had the Mill City Museum and D’Amico Catering staff saying it was one of the best they had ever seen! Linen Effects brought the whole scene together with floor-length white linens. It was the start to a simply beautiful, classic wedding day!
When it came to the ceremony, April and Joe decided to put a unique twist on it. They walked with each other down the aisle and had their wedding party perform different parts of the ceremony. It was truly so special and fun to witness! Instant Request was right on cue for all of the song changes (and kept the energy up all night long). We also can’t get enough of these photos taken by Eileen K Photography. She captured the happy couple and classic wedding vibe so beautifully!
After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed socializing, eating delicious food from D’Amico, and dancing the night away with Instant Request. We are so happy we got to be included in April and Joe’s stunning day. Getting the opportunity to work with some of our favorite families again is always so fun and we are so thankful for this referral!
