Van Dusen Mansion Wedding

This dreamy Van Dusen Mansion wedding was one straight out of a movie! Angela and Chris truly had the most perfect day. The couple was a referral from one of our favorite vendors, Epitome Papers! One of the best parts of the wedding industry is the connection between vendors. We always love encouraging couples to use our favorite vendors and vice versa. 

When we first took on Angela and Chris, they already had their venues booked- the reception at Van Dusen Mansion and the ceremony at the Basilica of Saint Mary. Plus, they had Mintahoe Catering & Events booked for catering. Because they already had these two booked, they did not need our full All-Inclusive package but still needed more than our light package. We were more than happy to make them a custom package! That’s one thing that sets Keyed Up Events apart from other planners: we want to work with you! We’ll create the perfect package to meet your needs. 

The ladies spent the morning getting ready with Primped while the guys just hung out in the Van Dusen Mansion. It was now time for the first look! We are so obsessed with the outdoor scenery spots that the mansion offers. It truly makes for the perfect background for pictures. 

After that, the couple and their bridal party got on the bus to head to the ceremony at the Basilica of Saint Mary. Whenever the ceremony and reception are at two different locations, we always encourage the couple to provide transportation for themselves and their bridal party. One, it’s more fun to stay together, and two, it takes a lot of stress off the day. The couple chose to do a classic, catholic ceremony with music from The Birchwood String Quartet. 

Once the ceremony was done, they headed back to  Van Dusen Mansion with Renee’s Linousines service! The reception was a perfect mix of classy and modern combined. Cosmos Floral pulled out all the stops to make Angela’s floral dreams come to life. The tables were mixed with decor rented from us and Apres Event Decor & Tent Rental. And of course, had to have desserts from Buttercream Cakes & Desserts before the dancing started. Their vintage cake with the bunny cake topper was a moment!

The couple and the guests danced all night long with music from Harmony DJ. But the real show stopper…. The late-night hot dog bar! The guests absolutely loved it, and Adrian Stein Photo captured some great photos from it!
