Spring Wedding in Minneapolis

Real Weddings

Some weddings go exactly as planned, while others take unexpected turns that make them even more special. Sonia and Adam’s spring wedding in Minneapolis was full of surprises, but with flexibility and expert planning, it all came together beautifully.

Sonia and Adam began planning their wedding from Washington, DC, narrowing down venues before deciding to bring in a local planner. Even as highly capable individuals, they saw the value in our All-Inclusive services to make the process stress-free. Their initial venue choice seemed perfect—until a year out when they were informed that renovations might not be finished in time. Dana happened to be in DC and met with them to go over options. After careful consideration, they accepted a full refund and started fresh.

They revisited a past option, International Market Square (IMS), but it too was set for renovations. With a May 2024 wedding, they were hesitant, but Krista at D’Amico Hospitality assured them everything would be ready. She was right! The space was stunning, and Sonia and Adam had the honor of hosting the first wedding in the newly updated venue.

To kick off their spring wedding in Minneapolis weekend, Sonia and Adam hosted a welcome party at The Market at Malcolm Yards. Since most guests were traveling in, they opened the second half of the party to everyone, creating a warm and inclusive start to the celebrations. It was the perfect way to bring together family and friends before the big day! Their photographer Will DeGraw even came to capture the welcome party.

Sonia and Adam wanted all their loved ones to stay in one place, making planning and transportation easier. After touring hotels, they chose Emery in downtown Minneapolis for its beautiful spaces, on-site dining, and vibrant atmosphere. It also provided great getting-ready areas. Thanks to clear communication through their website and invitations, guests booked over 100 nights—unlocking exclusive perks!

On the wedding morning, Bri from the KUE team greeted the wedding party and coordinated with Taylor Marie Beauty’s team. Our Wedding Party Concierge service, included in our All-Inclusive package, kept everything on track and stress-free as they prepared for the big day.

Sonia and Adam’s ceremony was deeply personal and unique. Instead of a traditional seating chart, they wrote heartfelt letters to each guest, placed them in envelopes with table numbers, and handed them out at the ceremony. Guests read them during the vows, leading to a moment filled with laughter, tears, and deep connection. It was truly one of the most special wedding moments we’ve ever seen.

One of the most impressive moments of the day was the room flip—executed flawlessly by our team along with the great D’Amico Hospitality and Ediflorial. As guests mingled and enjoyed cocktails, the team transformed the space for the reception. Check out the time-lapse of the transformation HERE!

Personal touches made their wedding unique. Sonia loved a small LED tree in her home, inspiring their DIY centerpieces. They added silk blooms to glowing trees, creating a magical effect. Even their shuttle driver from Total Transportation was impressed! Amber from Ediflorial complemented the look with vibrant spring flowers, and we sourced the perfect linens from Apres and Linen Effects. They even found watercolor napkins to match their invitations.

With the space set and every detail in place, the celebration kicked off with an incredible dinner catered by D’Amico Hospitality, heartfelt toasts, and a packed dance floor by Day One DJ. The joy, love, and energy in the room made for a truly unforgettable night. The Traveling Photo Booth gave guests a chance to show off their fun side!

From unexpected venue changes to thoughtful details, Sonia and Adam’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, resilience, and community. We were honored to be part of this spring wedding in Minneapolis. Cheers to a lifetime of happiness for this amazing couple!
