Simply Elegant Graduate Hotel Wedding

Being on preferred vendor lists is always such an honor. It’s especially exciting when we get to work with a wonderful couple because of it! Beatrice and Simon were a referral from Graduate Hotel as we are one of their preferred wedding vendors. This sweet couple also attended the hotel’s open house, where they met our team in person and got to take advantage of our special – free charger rentals!

Since the wedding took place in a hotel, the suites conveniently acted as getting ready rooms. The Pure Beauty team joined the ladies to perfect their hair and makeup for the day ahead. When Beatrice was finished with glam, she slipped into her beautiful gown from David’s Bridal. Her bridesmaids wore blue dresses from Birdy Grey that were a perfect match to their getting ready attire! Meanwhile, the guys were getting spiffy in their light grey suits from Men’s Wearhouse!

Once all the ladies were finished getting ready, they did a first look with Beatrice. After hyping her up, they all shared a big group hug before sending her off for a first look and portraits with Simon. Monroe Film & Photo took the couple all over the hotel for a variety of action packed photos. They turned out so fun! The couple’s wedding party also joined them for a few group photos before hiding away as guests arrived.

For decor, the couple opted to keep it relatively simple. They used the a la carte option from Sadie’s Floral. This allowed them to save a bit of money, but also required more work from their friends and family. Their dads attached the swags to the ceremony arch, while friends put together the vases of flowers for the centerpieces. Meanwhile, the KUE team was busy putting out their decor, dispersing the pre-arranged flowers, and of course placing those complimentary chargers we mentioned earlier! Everything was looking perfect!

When it was time for the ceremony, our team of planners helped send the wedding party down the aisle. When it was time for Beatrice to be escorted by her father, we gave her dress one last fluff before sending her out for her grand entrance. Throughout the planning process, the couple knew they wanted a shorter ceremony. They definitely stayed true to their word, as the ceremony was literally four minutes long from the time Beatrice’s dad dropped her off with Simon to their kiss. It was a record setting ceremony time for our team!

As the evening progressed, the couple was surprised with a unique gift from a loved one – Goldy the Gopher! Goldy was looking dapper in a gold suit and got plenty of photos with the couple. It was truly a night to remember!

Soon after guests were seated in the reception space, The Graduate Hotel began serving up a delicious dinner. While guests were finishing up their meals, there were many sweet speeches that brought both laughter and tears of joy. Moments like these always fill our hearts!

The couple then made their way over to the simple cutting cake from Hey Lulu Bakes for photos. When dessert photos wrapped up, guests were invited to enjoy an array of sweets from HyVee!

Beatrice and Simon kicked off the party with a lovely first dance before Instant Request opened up the dance floor for everyone. The party kept going all night long with guests grooving on the dance floor and using the photo booth from Monroe Film and Photo.

We had so much fun celebrating Beatrice and Simon’s love at their Graduate Hotel wedding with an amazing group of vendors!

Here’s what Bea and Simon had to say about working with KUE:

“Dana and her team were the perfect addition to our wedding day, and made sure everything would go smoothly. Without Dana and her team, we would’ve had a lot of added stress. Keyed Up Events has plenty of experience, hence they were able to tackle any issues that arose and fixed them instantly! Hiring Dana was 100% worth the money.”
