Liz and Kyle were trying to plan a Minnesota wedding while living in California. They quickly decided that they needed a planner, and that’s where Keyed Up Events came into the picture! When deciding on one of our packages they knew that they needed more help than just Management, so they went with our Planning Lite package. We worked with them to create an amazing vendor team to bring their vision to life.
The start of that vision came with their venue: the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Funny enough, the couple had never been to the MN Ren Fest before, but liked what they saw and knew that they liked other Ren Fests. We always love the idea of a Renaissance Festival wedding, as it’s unique and fun for everyone involved. They also decided to provide accommodation at the Renaissance Hotel in Bloomington, as the name was very fitting! Guests were safely shuttled to the venue and returned back to their hotel by Gray Line Transportation.
The ladies got ready with TDT Beauty who ensured that they all felt their best for the big day ahead! Liz wore a beautiful bridal gown from Madeleine’s Daughter Bridal, while her bridesmaids wore stunning green dresses from David’s Bridal. The guys sported light gray suits from Men’s Wearhouse with green ties that matched the bridesmaid’s dresses.
They decided to utilize many of Keyed Up Events items as decor, accompanied by Apres and Studio B Floral to bring the whole space together. Liz liked orange and Kyle liked green, so as long as those two colors were incorporated into the decor they were happy! This gave a lot of creative freedom to everyone involved with decor, so it was especially fun to see all of the elements pieced together on the wedding day.
The couple had a beautiful ceremony with all of their friends and family there to support them. It was officiated by MN Officiants who ensured that everything went smoothly and that everyone would shed a happy tear.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed socializing and drinking mead, a Ren Fest specialty! We also can’t forget the turkey legs that were served for dinner from the Renaissance Festival. Liz and Kyle were very excited about these as you can see in the photo captured by Studio Veil. Guests were also able to help themselves to a delicious cake from Buttercream (which truly never disappoints).
Studio Veil was also the DJ on site and stayed on top of all the necessary song changes. Since there is not much light around the Ren Fest, we ended at 9:00 and everyone went to an after-party back at their hotel.
Be sure to check out Liz and Kyle’s Renaissance Festival wedding video from Studio Veil to get a complete look at how the day went. You can view the ceremony HERE and the reception highlights HERE.
One last shoutout to the vendors who brought this unique day to life!
