Pique Travel Events Wedding Meets Rustic Class

Real Weddings

We got the pleasure of meeting Annie and Alex when they booked with Pique Travel Events. If you didn’t know, our owner and lead planner, Dana, manages this venue. This is extremely convenient for the couples getting married there because they can get a venue coordinator and wedding planner all in one place if they also book Keyed Up Events! Dana also knows all the best locations around the venue, so you will be in great hands for every decision.

The couple did their rehearsal dinner at DeGroodt House, which is just a block away from the venue. This location is a great companion to an event at Pique! Annie and Alex used Liquid Motion for the bar at both places, so they were able to transfer the unused liquor from one event to the other. Chowgirls Catering was in charge of the food for the rehearsal dinner, and they nailed it as always!

When the wedding day arrived, the ladies gathered at Hotel Excelsior to get ready. This hotel is down the street from Pique and provides a great backdrop for photos! Lady Vamp Artistry joined the ladies in the suite bright and early to get started on their glam. All of their artists did amazing, as always! Alex and his father delivered the bouquets to the hotel, but made sure that he didn’t catch a glimpse of his bride. They decided to keep decor costs low by getting personal flowers from Costco and greenery from Studio B Floral.

Once everyone was ready, it was time to travel to Norenberg Gardens. This gorgeous location is part of the Three Rivers Park District. Annie and Alex met up to share their intimate first look here, followed by portraits and wedding party photos taken by the amazing Rachel Leigh Photo.

Not long later, guests started arriving at Norenberg Gardens for the ceremony. Annie and Alex wanted a small ceremony, so they only had about 25 guests present. The remaining guests would meet them at the reception, totaling a little over 100. This was a great setup for Pique because there was no room flip required and guests could just enjoy having social time when they arrived.

The ceremony itself took place on a pavilion by the lake. It was so stunning and sentimental! Minnesota Officiants did a fantastic job directing the ceremony, which was sealed with a kiss by the beautiful couple. After they did their grand exit, they spent time mingling with their VIPs as husband and wife before heading back to Pique for a lovely dinner and reception!

The couple had decided that they wanted some round tables and different chairs to supplement the ones at Pique, so we connected with Festivities to get them great rental items. They went with mahogany chiavaris, round tables, and linens. Annie and Alex also rented our LED candles to pair with the decor they already owned. The final product was absolutely stunning!

The KUE team got everyone seated for dinner right on time for Deco to begin dinner service. Everyone enjoyed listening to toasts while enjoying their delicious meal. Guests were also welcome to grab dessert from the table of Cardigan Donuts that the KUE team had set up earlier.

After guests were finished eating, we broke down 3 predetermined tables to make room for the dance floor. The couple shared their sweet first dance, followed by each of their parent dances. Bellagala kept the music going all night, guests couldn’t resist dancing!

The night wrapped up with dancing, socializing, and a late night snack of pizza (which was greatly appreciated by all guests). Rachel Leigh Photo also made sure to get the happy couple a few stunning sunset photos before heading out and sending them back to the party.
