Fall Gale Woods Farm Wedding

Real Weddings

Courtney and Oscar knew that they wanted a small, laid-back wedding. However, they also knew that this should not stop them from wanting a wedding planner! They booked a consultation with Keyed Up Events, and we were able to create a custom package for them. We are always happy to work with you to create a package that fits your needs, after all no wedding is the same! After chatting through options, we decided that they needed something between our Management and Lite packages. It was a perfect fit for them!

The day started by having Maggie from Warpaint International at the couple’s apartment to do Courtney’s hair and makeup. Courtney wanted to feel like herself with minimal glam, but still have a professional handle it. Maggie nailed it and left Courtney feeling like an enhanced version of her beautiful self! Meanwhile, the KUE duo of Dana and Hope were on site at Gale Woods Farm setting up the wedding decor and greeting vendors.

Once hair and makeup wrapped up, the couple hopped in their car and drove over to Gale Woods Farm. Upon arrival, they changed into their attire. Oscar looked dapper in his suit from Men’s Wearhouse, while Courtney was stunning in her unique gown from Wardrobe by Dulcinea! The bride also wore a fun flower crown made by Hazel’s Celebash Barn, which matched her dress perfectly.

Becca Dilley Photography then took the couple around the venue for couple portraits. The fall color was looking beautiful for this late September wedding. While they were out for photos, the KUE team got word that Gale Woods Farm needed to bring their sheep from one field to another, so they would be running through the yard of the venue. When Courtney and Oscar heard this, they were very excited (as was everyone else)! As animal lovers, the couple knew Gale Woods Farm would be a great fit as it is a working farm, but having the sheep run through was a pleasant surprise! Becca Dilley Photography was even able to capture a few portraits of the couple with the sheep as they ran through. How fun!

Once all of the guests arrived, the KUE team directed them down the path and to the Gale Woods Farm wedding ceremony site. Courtney and Oscar opted to walk down the aisle together, hand in hand. Sam from Liz Rae & Co did a great job officiating the ceremony and making it personalized for the couple. There were many sweet words exchanged between Courtney and Oscar, which resulted in both happy tears and giggles. It was a sweet ceremony with a beautiful nature backdrop. As the two shared a kiss and made their way down the aisle, it was only right that they recessed to “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire since they were getting married on the 21st of September!

Everyone then made their way back to the barn for cocktail hour. The remainder of the wedding was kept relatively casual with a speaker playing music, open seating, yard games, and socializing. Guests also had a fun time walking around and looking at the decor, as each table had different photos of the couple’s cats!

Deco Catering provided a delicious buffet with sliders, a mac and cheese bar, and plenty of sides. You can see by Oscar’s face that this assortment of food was very exciting and delicious!

Shortly after, the KUE team set up the dessert table which was loaded with a variety of donuts from Angel Food Bakery. If you look closely, you’ll see that the couple’s cats even made it onto the dessert sign that Hope made! Francisco and Sofia were the stars of the night 😉 Courtney and Oscar absolutely love donuts (almost as much as their cats), so they had to make sure to get a few donut dessert photos together in place of a cake cutting photo!

The couple knew that they didn’t want to have a typical dance at their wedding, so we talked a lot about what sort of entertainment they wanted. We went back and forth with a lot of great ideas and ultimately landed on doing a simple shoe game. Dana even got to emcee it and ask the questions! This game is a classic and always gives everyone a good chuckle and a chance to get to learn some new things about the couple.

The night wrapped up with more socializing, donut snacking, and even a few guests dancing to the playlist the couple provided. It was a perfect day to celebrate Courtney and Oscar!
