Thanks to our wonderful clients leaving us sweet love notes on The Knot, we got the opportunity to work with Tori and Kareem to bring their colorful wedding to life! Our journey with the couple started with helping them find a venue. They live in Austin, but the bride was able to come to town and do some tours with her parents. She made sure to recap each one with Kareem so he could be involved in the entire process. After talking through each of their options, the couple settled on The View at Minneapolis Event Centers!
When Tori and Kareem first booked with us, they knew that they were not going to have a wedding party and that they wanted a lot of color. We love colorful weddings and made sure to collaborate with other vendors who feel the same way! At first the couple leaned into teal hues, but after a visit with Emily at Linen Effects, they went all in on hot pinks and purples! We joked that The View wasn’t going to know what hit them since so many people tend to do white or lighter colored flowers there. 😉
Studio B Floral then joined the vendor team to vamp up the color with beautiful florals! If you didn’t know, we share a studio space with Tami from Studio B, so combining our rental decor with her floral designs is always a seamless process. Tori and Kareem took advantage of this partnership and we created some truly eye-popping pieces, just wait until you see them!
Tami also stepped in as the Lead for us on their wedding day, with Alexandra from our team as her assistant. Tori and her ladies got ready with Palindrome who nailed everyone’s hair and makeup! Then it was time for the beautiful bride to meet her groom for the first look – their smiles say it all! Rachel Lahlum Photography then took the couple around the area for a few couple portraits before heading back for the ceremony.
The ceremony took place outside with the couple’s closest friends and family. They had a smaller group due to Covid, which allowed them to spend quality time with all of their guests. The string lights hanging over the aisle paired with the colorful arch from Studio B Floral made for a stunning ceremony location! The couple shared loving words (and a few laughs) before officially becoming husband and wife. Rachel Lahlum Photography captured the couple perfectly as they made their way down the aisle as newlyweds – look at that pure happiness!
As guests were socializing and enjoying cocktail hour with drinks served by Entourage, Tami took the items from the arch and repurposed them on the reception tables. The table numbers were also unique, as they were special places to them that are located in Austin, TX.
Not long later, the KUE team began directing guests to take their seats. While everyone was enjoying their meal from Entourage, various guests gave toasts and speeches. Tori and Kareem also had a special spice blend made as favors for their guests. We love how they included various components throughout that were special to them!
The couple then had a few bites of the dessert minis provided by Patisserie 46 before Tori snuck away for a dress change. Upon returning, she was wearing a beautiful sparkling dress that she could easily move in. After all, when you have Riverside Hitmen at your wedding, you’re going to want to dance!
Tori and Kareem then shared their sweet first dance before taking to the dance floor with their guests. Riverside Hitmen kept the energy up all night, leaving everyone dancing or enjoying the music and socializing.
As the sun began to set, Rachel Lahlum Photography led the couple outside to a few stunning locations for golden hour photos. Check out the beautiful city of Minneapolis in the background!
