Autumn Wedding at Union Depot

Real Weddings

Geena and Dylan met during their high school’s production of “Guys and Dolls”. He played Nathan Detroit, and she played trumpet in the pit orchestra. At the time, Geena’s family was hosting Lorena, a foreign exchange student from Germany. She introduced the two of them and is now a bridesmaid in their wedding. What a great matchmaker! Later in their relationship, the couple took a trip to Germany to visit their dear friend, Lorena. Dylan decided to pop the question on the North Sea in northern Germany. How special!

Back in 2018 the KUE team had the pleasure of providing Management services for Geena’s sister, Samantha. Her sister saw such value in our services, that she decided to gift KUE Management to Geena and Dylan for their wedding! We were absolutely delighted to hear this and to have the opportunity to work with their lovely family again.

The ladies met in the bridal suite of Trinity Lutheran Church to get ready. Onsite Beautiful ensured everyone’s hair was perfect, while a friend of Geena’s provided the perfect glam! When it was nearly time for the first look, Dylan put on his suit from Men’s Wearhouse and Geena slipped into her gown from Andrea’s Vintage Bridal. They both looked amazing!

Rostomily Creative then set the couple up for their first look before taking them around the church for a few portraits. Their wedding party and families joined them for group photos shortly after, and we can assure you that this group was nothing short of a good time!

As photos wrapped up, it was time to tuck the wedding party away as guests arrived. The couple opted to do their service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater a little bit earlier in the day. This gave guests time to explore the city and check into their hotels before heading over to the reception venue, Union Depot

The most important thing to the couple about their wedding day was having their families there to acknowledge and observe their new union. Geena and Dylan shared a sweet ceremony with their loved ones, complete with a unity candle and a kiss!

Nearly an hour after the ceremony, cocktail hour began at Union Depot. Rent My Party Bus ensured the wedding party had a fun time while traveling from one venue to the next! Guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers from Brie Catering. This was a great time for everyone to sign the couple’s guest book, which was an atlas where guests could suggest places for the newlyweds to travel to. Geena and Dylan absolutely love road tripping and exploring new places, so this detail was very special to them!

The KUE team then began inviting guests to find their seats for dinner. The couple opted to rent our votives for the tables, and have their friends handle all of the floral elements. They had family members arrive at Union Depot earlier in the day to help make flower arrangements and set up their items. We also recommended they add colored napkins from Linen Effects, which gave the tables an extra pop of color! All of the decor was on theme with their fall, boho vibe!

Once everyone was seated, the couple made a grand entrance with their wedding party. As you can see, the vibes were high with the entire group! You want to feel this way all day long, which is why you may hire someone like Keyed Up Events to handle the day of details. The KUE team made sure to check on vendors and ensure everything was going according to plan. When the catering team needed a few reminders on the plan, we handled it so that Geena, Dylan, and their loved ones could fully enjoy the day with no stress!

The night wrapped up with plenty of dancing! The couple’s friend that was in charge of the music did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor and singing along. It was a great day celebrating the unity of Geena and Dylan!

Thank you to all the vendors who helped make this day so special!
