A Wedding Professional Needs Help with Their Wedding Too!

Real Weddings
wedding professional getting married

We met Danielle and Zach the best way possible: at another wedding! Danielle was the maid of honor at her friend Kelsey’s wedding that Keyed Up Events was managing. Danielle stopped Dana towards the end of the evening and said “I work at Skyroom and we NEED you on our vendor list!” One short trip to Red Wing a few weeks later and we were on. Danielle messaged a few weeks after that and said that she was getting married the following year at Skyroom and even though it was her home venue, she knew she needed to have someone there to take charge of things so she wouldn’t and to also let the staff there have the chance to enjoy themselves some too. As a wedding professional, it can be hard to let go of the random responsibilities unless you have someone like us to ensure that you are focused on enjoying your day! It didn’t hurt that she had assembled a rockstar group of vendors, especially Candace from 651 Floral Studio. Danielle let her have a lot of creative freedom with the floral and design and the result was a dream! She even had Sarah from Doughphoria create an artificial cake just for display as a WOW factor.

The ladies spent the morning getting their hair and makeup done with Katina Elizabeth MUA and Angela with Plush Beauty Lounge. They both did an amazing job bringing out the girls’ natural beauty!

The couple’s first look took place outside of the Walsh House on site at Skyroom. When we see the photos of this moment our hearts melt every time! Following the first look, Marisa Claire Photography posed the couple for a few shots just the two of them before bringing in the lively wedding party! The bridesmaids’ mauve dresses matched perfectly with the bouquets made by 651 Studio Floral, making the color scheme for the photos absolutely stunning!

The weather ended up being perfect for the outdoor ceremony. We love how the simple arch allowed the floral installments to really make a statement. Surrounded by their beloved friends and family, the couple had the most beautiful ceremony! On the way out, Danielle and Zach stopped at the light up marquee letters from Alpha Lit that spelled out their last name. They were officially The Bowers!

Following the ceremony, the guests were able to socialize and share the sweet day together. They all gathered for a delicious meal served up by River Valley Catering and a scrumptious dessert from some local Red Wing bakeries including Hanisch Bakery, Stockholm Pie & General Store, Red Wing Confectionery, and CakeWalk. The gorgeous head table that the custom cookies were placed at was styled by A Family Affair! The venue was enhanced with other various decor items from Next Event Planning & Rentals and signage from Hunt Wright Design Co.

While guests were busy enjoying the reception, Danielle and Zach snuck away with Marisa Claire Photography for some super awesome sunset photos. The golden hour made the photos feel so magical! Reed Shepherd Films was also there to capture some stunning clips to add to his video of the whole day.

Later in the evening, the couple shared their first dance and parent dances. All of these were so sweet and sentimental! Following these special dances, DJ Chaz Blakk opened up the dance floor to all of the guests and kept them dancing and having a good time all night long!

This wedding is a great example of how even someone who is a wedding professional and is having her wedding on her home turf knows that trying to manage your own day is not a good idea. We were so glad to be a part of this magical day for Danielle and Zach! If you want to see even more photos from their day, take a peek at their gallery in our portfolio.

We are so excited that Danielle and Zach’s wedding was featured in the Fall/Winter 2022 issue of the Minnesota Bride Magazine! Be sure to pick up a copy and check page 160 for even more insight into how a wedding professional handled her wedding day with ease!
