A Barn Wedding With Perfectly Elegant Touches

Real Weddings

Our introduction to Chandler and Chris came about in a more unusual way. Dana was leaving a wedding in Northfield when a call from a fellow planner came out that some of her guests were stuck at their venue because they had some problems with the transportation company and needed to get them back to St. Paul. The other venue was also in Northfield and Dana happened to live in St. Paul, so she swung by and picked up some of the wedding party who had agreed to stay behind. One of those groomsmen was Chris! A short time later, Dana received an email from Chandler introducing herself and the connection and said they needed some help at their upcoming wedding in Faribault, and a new partnership was born.

The couple had specific priorities when it came to planning their wedding. A major one was keeping things stress-free, step one to that was getting in touch with us at Keyed Up Events! From there, we talked through all of the details to ensure that we would meet all of their needs and they had built a great vendor team that would too. The couple had a lot of guests coming from out of town, so they needed a venue that could support their timeframe. This is how they decided on The Barn at Crocker’s Creek. This barn wedding venue matched their aesthetic and they were able to reserve it for the whole weekend, allowing them to have extra time for setup and teardown!

On the morning of the wedding, the girls got ready at a beautiful little Airbnb in Faribault that was near the barn wedding venue the morning of the wedding. This is a great alternative to a hotel suite! Helping the ladies get ready were two very talented vendors: Hair by BK and Anna Joy Makeup. They did an amazing job glamming the ladies for the big day ahead!

Another priority that Chandler and Chris had was good, local food. They decided Centro would be a great fit. They provide delicious food and are well known for their tacos in the area of Minneapolis! For dessert, the couple decided on Thirsty Whale. This bakery is so creative and works hard to ensure that your visions are brought to life in the sweetest way possible, and they did not disappoint!

Chandler and Chris did a first look at the home on-site there which made a perfect backdrop. The groom’s reaction shows just how beautiful Chandler looked in her wedding attire! The wedding party then joined the couple for some fun group shots.

When it came time for the ceremony, guests were brought to the venue by Northfield Lines. The location was set up with rentals from Rent N Save and signage made by the bride herself! Florals by Claire made some stunning bouquets for the ladies and provided plenty of floral arrangements throughout the site! The outdoor ceremony was so sweet and absolutely gorgeous, the Minnesota weather did not let us down that day!

After the ceremony, the couple went out with Cameron and Tia to get some fun pictures. The sunset provided the perfect lighting for the couple’s husband and wife portraits later that evening, we absolutely love how they turned out! The location also provided a wide variety of locations for KAS Films to shoot throughout the day for the couple’s wedding video.

Upon returning back to the reception, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner from Centro followed by dessert from Thirsty Whale in the barn wedding venue. The last priority that the couple had was having an awesome dance party. We loved that they had contracted with Bluewater Kings, and the band was amazing all night long! The live music was so romantic for the couple’s first dance! After their first dance, they each did their parent dances which were just as sweet! Following the dances, Bluewater Kings invited everyone onto the dance floor and kept them partying all night long (as always)!

Chandler and Chris’ wedding day was truly so beautiful. By keeping things simple and prioritizing what was most important to them, they got to have a day filled with love and laughter! If you want us to help ensure that your priorities are met, send us a message HERE. We would love to chat!
