Sarah and Grant came to us as a referral from Amber at Wedding Shoppe, whom we met through a styled shoot. Knowing that Sarah works at a bridal dress store left us with great anticipation to see her wedding dress when the big day arrived (and we were not disappointed)!
The couple knew all along that they wanted help on their wedding day as they were having a larger guest count and wedding party, so it would be a lot of people to manage. The couple landed on the Machine Shop as their venue, which requires couples to have a coordinator. So by booking us, she was able to mark off that requirement and put her mind at ease all at once!
We started off the wedding weekend with a rehearsal followed by a rehearsal dinner at Hewing Hotel. After the KUE team directed the rehearsal to ensure everyone knew what to do, the couple got a few fun photos with Sea Circus Photography. We love that the couple had their photographer present for the rehearsal so that they could envision the shots for the next day and capture the memories made!
After a good night’s rest at the hotel, the ladies were up bright and early to start getting ready for the day. Their hair and makeup team consisted of talented artists from Spa Beauty Agency who left the ladies with glam that would last perfectly for the whole day. Sarah then slipped into her gown from, you guessed it, Wedding Shoppe! While Grant got dressed in his suit from Milberns. The couple then met outside to do their first look with the city as their backdrop and capture couple’s portraits at various locations in the area. Sea Circus Photography also did a great job rounding up the large wedding party for photos (which is no easy task)!
The ceremony took place at the Basilica of St. Mary, which is a stunning location leaving little to no need for decor. Sarah and Grant shared a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their families and friends. All of the sweet and meaningful words were sealed with a kiss, leaving the couple cheering their way back down the aisle. Once everyone was outside, Sea Circus Photography managed to capture all of the couple’s guests in one photo. Such a special memory to have for years to come!
After such a sweet unity of their favorite people, the guests were ready to head to the Machine Shop for an unforgettable celebration! Upon arrival, the Machine Shop had their bartenders ready to serve up drinks and keep them flowing all night long. Everyone was greeted with the beautifully set reception space that the KUE team had been busy preparing. Sarah had decided to use artificial flowers and greenery for the bouquets and on the head table because that area of the wedding budget was not a high priority for the couple. The bride also opted to rent a few of our items (which are available to our clients, florists, and other planners)! She utilized our silver chargers, glass cylinders, and votives to give a simple and clean look to the tables. The blue chiffon runners that we rented from Studio B Floral were a great addition to the farm tables from Machine Shop that they used as the head table. And per our suggestion, she opted for floor-length linens to complete the look.
Once we got the guests seated, Brasa served up a delicious meal for dinner. While everyone was enjoying their meal and dessert from Brasa, there were various speeches that were both sentimental and humorous. Instant Request then got everyone’s attention for the first dances, which were so sweet to watch. The DJ then got the beats going and the party officially started, only stopping for a late-night snack from Black Sheep Pizza later in the night!
A final shoutout to this amazing vendor team!
