Lumber Exchange Event Center Wedding

Maija and Gannon wanted to keep their big day simple, romantic, and unforgettable, and it was exactly that. They had the most wonderful, late summer wedding at Lumber Exchange Event Center. We always love it when couples come to us with a clear vision, because then we get to work our magic to make it a reality

The day began bright and early at the stunning Lumber Exchange Event Center in downtown Minneapolis. The bridal party got ready in style, with hair and makeup by the talented team at MN Lux Artistry.

One of our favorite details from this part of the day was Maija’s custom getting-ready outfit, from the personalized date stitched on the sleeve to the gorgeous engagement ring and elegant wedding dress waiting nearby. It was the perfect way to set the tone for the celebration.

We absolutely adore when couples do a first look paired with private vows. It gives them a quiet, intimate moment together before the joyful whirlwind of the day begins. 

As soon as group photos started, we knew this wedding party was going to bring the fun! One of the biggest perks of choosing the Lumber Exchange Event Center is its location right in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Beloved Productions was able to capture stunning group photos and videos featuring the skyline as the backdrop. Maija and Gannon chose soft, natural tones for their bridal party attire, perfectly complementing the city chic atmosphere. Gannon’s soft pink suit was the highlight!

One of our favorite design elements of their wedding was the LED candles lining the aisle. Maija wanted the romantic glow of candles without the safety concerns of open flames, and the result was breathtaking. The soft flicker of light created the perfect atmosphere for their ceremony. (psst…these are now in our inventory!)

For the reception, the  Lumber Exchange Event Center team handled everything from catering and linens to flipping the room during cocktail hour. Hosting both the ceremony and reception in the same space can feel daunting, but the staff made the transition smooth and elegant.

And of course, dessert was a showstopper thanks to one of our favorite vendors, Nothing Bundt Cakes. They provided treats that guests couldn’t get enough of.

With about 250 guests ready to celebrate, the dance floor stayed packed all night long thanks to the DJ from Instant Request. From the couple’s first dance to the last song, the energy never slowed down.

We feel so honored to have been a part of Maija and Gannon’s Minneapolis wedding day. We wish them nothing but a lifetime of happiness together!
