We absolutely love when our couples refer their siblings to us when they get engaged! We had the pleasure of working with Jack’s sister as a Management client back in 2019. When we got the message from Cindy and Jack that they were engaged and ready to dive into wedding planning, we were overjoyed! Even though they had already booked their venue, photographer, and caterer, they decided to go with our Planning: Lite service. It made the most sense for them as they lived out of state and needed a lot of help with the rest of the planning process, including finding the remaining vendors.
We were delighted to find out that they had booked the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) as their venue. The KUE team loves working at MIA and we know our way around a lot of the obstacles that exist with having a museum wedding. What can we say, we’re suckers for an art museum wedding!
The wedding party met up in their respective groups bright and early on the wedding day. I Do Crew met the ladies in the bride’s room at Canopy by Hilton to do their hair. Cindy was pretty particular about how her makeup was done, so she elected to have all the ladies do their own makeup. Once everyone was finished getting ready, they made their way to MIA in their getting ready clothes. Upon their arrival, they got changed into their wedding attire. Cindy slipped into her gown from Studio Inspire that fit her like a glove. She looked stunning!
Kelly Reeves Photography then set the couple up outside for their first look and portraits, followed by wedding party and family pictures. There are so many pretty photo locations at MIA!
The couple opted to have their ceremony outdoors and the weather was perfect for it! Cindy loved fun and bright colors, so she knew she wanted them front and center with her flowers and decor. Studio B Floral did a great job creating floral pieces that popped while staying cohesive with the couple’s theme. Their ceremony was filled with so much joy and excitement. Their families and friends truly radiated so much love for this sweet couple!
While guests enjoyed socializing during cocktail hour, Cindy and Jack made their way around MIA with Kelly Reeves Photography to capture a few more portraits. This venue truly offers some of the most unique wedding photos. We can’t get enough!
The KUE team then got busy moving everyone into the reception for dinner. The space was beautifully decorated with florals from Studio B, rentals from our inventory, and a head table linen from Ultimate Events. The perfect decor for an art museum wedding! Once everyone was settled into their seats, the wedding party had a fun grand entrance. The vibes were high with this group! The couple said a quick thank you speech and Deco Catering was ready to begin serving the delicious plated meal right as they wrapped up. Dessert was also a hit, which wasn’t a surprise as Nothing Bundt Cakes always get everyone excited!
Cindy and Jack then took to the dance floor for their first dance followed by the parent dances. During the father/bride dance, Cindy invited all mother/son, father/daughter, and any other family groups to the dance floor to dance along to “What a Wonderful World”. This was such a fun touch!
Instant Request then kicked off the party and kept it going all night long! The dance floor the couple rented from Ultimate Events came in handy in this unique event space. Plus it matched the room perfectly!
